Andante and Allegro was written by Joseph Guy Ropartz (1864-1955). Originally from Brittany, Ropartz made his career as a conservatory director in Nancy and later, Strasbourg, France. This piece was transcribed by Joseph Kreines and is dedicated to John Almeida, trumpet performer and instructor at the University of Central Florida.
