Coventry Carol

Coventry Carol is a choral prelude of a traditional English melody arranged for band. Lyrics of the melody, written for the City of Coventry’s Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors, recount Herod's slaughter of the innocent children.

Lloyd Conley (b.1924) is a well-known composer and arranger with over 500 educational music publications to his credit. He earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Central Michigan University and Michigan State University.
